Mom's Song

My mom passed away in November of 2007. It's now been a couple years but everyday I think of her. The worst is when I just want to pick up the phone and give her a call to tell her what's going on, and I can't.

Mom's Song
Songwriter - John West
Album - Robin Hood

Sometimes I wish I could pick up the phone
And call up my moma to tell her what's going on
And somtimes I wish I could drive by her place
Just to see her smiling face

Chorus -      But the angels in heaven sing a heavenly song
And my mom's in that choir singing along
And the stars up in heaven oh how the shine
A little bit brighter with her in the sky

I'd fly to the kitchen when she baked our bread
She'd trade me a slice for the prayer I said
Sometimes I wish I could give her a hug
Kiss her cheek and show her my love

Chorus -      (Repeat)

Bridge -       Oh life here on earth is a little bit tougher
With out the love of a women like my mother
Still everyday I pray a little harder
And I'm beginning to see her again
                    In my daughter

Chorus -     (Repeat)
