Dumb Blond

After I wrote this song I couldn't help but sing it over and over agin in my head. There would be times when my wife, who is blond, would start talking to me, and I'd look over at her with the chorus "Dumb Blond, it's time die your hair" popping in to my head. I'd have do everything I could to not sing this out loud. So far so good, but consider this your warning if you're married to a blond. "Be careful!"

Songwriter - John West
Album - I Wish I Was A Mexican
There's a girl over in the corner
Golden locks and slender legs
She's flirting with a handsome player
Just asking to be played
Does she realize what she's doing
Does she get what she's got
It's an easy bet that she does not
Chorus -
Dumb Blond
It's time to die your hair
Being silly, pretty, really isn't getting
you anywhere
Dumb blond
It's time to wise up
Become a feisty redhead or a sharp brunette
Jet raven black or get wig
Dumb blond
Her telephone starting ringing
And she knew better than to pick it up
But she went ahead and did it
Oh and it was just her luck
A smooth talking player
Who had once had her fooled
He was over on her couch
Before she knew what to do
Chorus - (Repeat)
Bridge -
Well, all you blonds before you all turn gray
You need to find like a really smart way
To make your weaknesses your strengths
So why don't you all die your hair today
Chorus - (repeat)
