Again

This song has quite the story behind it. When I was serving an LDS mission in Venzuela I received a letter from a girl who was writing me. Her name was Erica Allen. A Venezuelan sister missionary was passing out the mail and she said, "Erica Allen!" I know who she is! (in Spanish of course.) and I said, "No possible way." She went to her appartment and got a letter written from the missionary who baptized her. He was currently living in Idaho and had sent her a picture of himself and a girl he was dating, Erica Allen. What a small world. I of course wrote Erica a letter letting her know that I had caught her cheating on me (we had never met though.) Elder Peterson and I then wrote this song about paths crossing. Although the above story was what triggered the song idea. The song is about best friends growing up and going away to college, getting married, starting careers and seeing each other every now agian. I hope you enjoy!

Well it seemes like oh so long ago but it seems like yesterday
We both packed up are bags to go then we went our seperate ways
You went yours I went mine but here we are again
Down this long road that never ends

Chorus -     And our paths have crossed again
And your looking so good my friend
Oh it's so nice to see you again
Yeah it's so nice to see you again

Well ups and downs and rounds and rounds and here we go again
You majored in history and I'm a businessman
Is that your wife? It must be cause she looks happy too
Oh my gosh your kids look just like you

Chorus - (Repeat)

Bridge - The telephone rang I couldn't believe the news
You passed away like that
Then last night I layed myself down to sleep
And that's why i'm not sure
If this is just a dream

Chorus - (Repeat)
